Living Comic

It's one of those side-step, tuck and roll, jump over the brick wall and whack the turtle ninja on the head with an incredibly light super hammer type of days. What does all that mean? Heck if she knows, but it perfectly explains how she feels at the moment. Being in college, being a young adult, you have to try different looks because you still don't know who you truly are until you put your hair in a faux hawk, your body in a leather mesh body suit and your booty in a skirt filled with comic strip phrases.

ABOUT THE LOOK: I don't really do many looks like this, but I love it! It gives me an excuse to act crazy because I look the part. I got the skirt from Rue 21, the body suit from Ooh La Luxe and the shoes from a thrift shop! The skirt is my favorite part; so bright and colorful and OUT THERE! But you have to be careful about what you mix with it. Notice how I used all black for everything else so that the outfit isn't over powerful.

OASAP Wishlist

I love OASAP and am always so happy that I'm affiliated with them. I was just browsing their site when it hit me how many clothes and jewelry and shoes I want from them! *Wipes drool off mouth* I am in serious need of  some cash to blow on my every wish and desire from that store, although it's super unlikely to happen (Thanks a mil outrageous college prices). Until I become a millionaire, I'll just settle my lust for clothes by showing you all my wishlist!

I'm not sure what it is about the Round Neck Bound Waist Long Dress that I love so much! It's just stunning.

I use to hate, and I mean HATE velvet anything, but I'm really starting to like it now. OASAP's Retro Velvet Pleated Skirt  makes me continue liking velvet more and more and... well... more.

Can I pretty please just own this Cutout Sweater already?

Someone wanna roll my tongue back in my mouth? It fell out after I though about how good I'd look in This Dress.

Roll back a few months: Dear Santa, I would love to find these Double Pin Buckle Ankle Boots  in my stocking.
I'll take two of these magnificent Earcuffs please!
So. Much. More. I can't fit everything onto my wish list, I just can't. To much to love<3

A Penny for Her Thoughts

Deep breath. Take it in. She can see the world without even opening her eyes. What's she thinking as she faces the wind and lets her imagination run wild through the field she's standing in? A penny for her thoughts? You can't pay a penny for her thoughts, they're much more valuable than that; they're at least a dollar.

ABOUT THE LOOK: Oh I love this skirt (Forever 21)! It's so diverse! Anyway, it's December in Missouri so I'm wearing a mesh skirt and a tucked in lace, peplum top (Plato's Closet) when I should be in the fluffiest coat I can find. This weather is insane. And I know what a few of you are thinking... A white shirt! In December! Uhm... yes. I feel like white looks its loveliest in December when the there's snow on the ground! ... Or a field of tall, dead grass.

BIG Thanks to my friend Mason for taking these pictures. That's his dog... it's name is Penny;P

Plus, like Caged In Clothes on FB because there's a big surprise coming up that will be announced on there!

My Own Dark Fairytale

It's only her and the eyes looking at her in the dark woods. Night is coming, but they don't turn back; they continue on their journey. The leaves crunch beneath her feet and the bark pries at her skin as she lays on the damp log. None of this is actually real because it's all a fantasy she's concocted in her over-imaginative mind. The creatures sulking behind the bushes are figments of her imagination. As are the amazing critters that have become her friends throughout the years.

I just wanted to give a big thank you to Davis Photography for taking these pictures! You can like Davis Photography on facebook HERE.

Vampirish Part I (Giveaway Winner)

There's a reason that I called this Vampirish Part I. It's because I took sooooo many pictures that they can't all fit into one post! Plus, this post isn't just about my style today, it's about my BACK TO SCHOOL GIVEAWAY winner! Yes, it ended yesterday and now... it is time to announce who wins the amazing Social Butterfly House dress. So ladies, here it is!

Congrats MC CHAU! All of that dedicated tweeting really paid off! (Trust me, I get a notification every time someone tweets me and I got TONS from you!) I'll shoot you an email tonight and you have three days to respond before an alternate winner is chosen. Congrats again!

ABOUT THE LOOK: All of a sudden, fall is here... with fall weather. No more mini skirts and tanks for mwa. I am in college after all and forced to walk everywhere and I hate being cold. Exactly whey I wore this, oh-so-very mysterious skirt/jacket combo. The crimson color combined with the sheer overlaying the skirt from Forever 21 made it perfect from the transition from summer to fall. Plus, the leather jacket  from Plato's Closet provided shelter from the cool wind blowing that day. I have on some pretty cute necklaces too. One that has crosses and another that's full of false pearls and is a peter pan collar. I love it!

Stay tuned for Vampirish Part II! (AKA more pics to come!)

BEHIND THE SCENES: What can I say. I never stay serious for too long. At all. Ever. Andrea (Photographer and bestie) has to get frustrated, I mess around so much. I laugh, make her laugh, dance around, dance on a tree! Plus, she always manages to capture me hiking up my skirt and trampling around; have you ever tried to walk in heels in the forest while the ground is squishy? It's hard.

See Through to Me

CLICK HERE TO ENTER MY GIVEAWAY FOR A SOCIAL BUTTERFLY HOUSE DRESS

Dear lordy! College starts for me tomorrow. COLLEGE. I'm a little freaked out, but really excited (besides the part where I have to pay thousands of dollars to learn stuff I'll forget in a month). I hope I can find my classes and remember to bring my supplies and I really hope I get invited to a first day party... or two. Well, five would be perfect. Until then, I guess I'll just sit locked up in my room and watch the Hunger Games.

ABOUT THE LOOK: This look is actually a dress and a skirt. I recieved the dress from OASAP and, well, it was a little short. Ok, a lot short. But I loved it so much I wasn't just going to shun it because it exposed me everytime I bent over or raised my arms up. I tucked it into this mint, bodycon skirt I got from Rue 21 and I think it worked out just fine! I love the gauze panels on the arms! Anyway, sorry about the lighting. We took pictures mid-day which I realize is a big no-no, but it's the only time we could take them. Hope you enjoy them anyway!

Rose in a Thornbush

Ah! What an amazing mission trip I went on! I have to tell you, if you want to make the world a better place, not just one small community, volunteer at Give Kids The World. It's in Florida, so you can even hit up the beach for the day like I did. Of course, I got this rediculous sunburn that made me peel my face's skin off like one would peel an orange, but hey, I surfed. One thing I get to check off my bucket list. Anyway, it was the most amazing experiance of my life. I got to meet people from all over the world and every single one of them was happy, no matter their kids condition. It was truely magical.

DON'T FORGET TO ENTER MY GIVEAWAY!

ABOUT THE LOOK: Rose in a Thornbush. My friend actually said something like this on the shoot and I knew my post had to be titled that. The red and the flowers really popped against any background so it looked like I was that hidden rose in the thornbush. The shirt is from SUGARLIPS APPAREL. When I first got it, to be truthfull, I was kinda iffy. It was a lot of material and I'm a small girl, I was scared it was going to eat me alive. Fortunately, when I paired it with the floral skirt from RUE 21, I knew that it was me. It's such a vibrant, happy look, which is needed since the oh-so depressing school time is drawing nearer, if not already arrived.

Sorry about the size of the pictures. I can't get them to enlarge, those little boogers. I'll try to fix it when I get somewhere with a better computer and wifi.

It's My Galaxy Now

This post is for one of my readers, Jesika, who said she wanted to see some galaxy print on Caged in Clothes. Well Jesika, here you go! I meant to have about three posts made out for the coming week, but I don't. I'm going on a mission trip to South Dakota next week and was going to have a lot to automatic posts. Unfortunately, my photographer and I were running a little behind and only did two, but the first was a bust. Firstly, I was wearing jeans. Jeans. In the summer. H-O-T. And not in the daaaang girl, you is looking fine sort of way, but more like the, my face just sweated off and the rubber on the bottom of the shoes is sticking to ground. So I only have this post, but I really hope you like it! It was a blast to shoot!

ABOUT THE LOOK: This look is perfect for summer days that aren't 80 degrees or over. It's for those cool mornings when you want to look hot. The leather jacket is super hot but the assymetrical skirt has a nice flow and breeze to it. Plus, with galaxy print being such a an amazing print at the moment, this skirt is a hot piece. I won it off of the rewards section on Chictopia and you can get it here if you fell in love with it as much as I did! Oh, and, if I had had them, I would have combined this look with a chunky silver arm cuff to top of the look.

What do you think is this summer's sizzling piece? Tell in the comments!

On this picture and the pic below, do I look like Kristen Stewart?
