I Know the Sky

I know the sky better than anyone else. Why? My head is always in it. I can't concentrate anymore. Dreams fill my head and I must fulfill them. Chase them. Well, I try. Think of what you want then reach out and grab it. For me, what I want is just out of reach and I need someone to push it forward so I can at least touch it. Is it possible? I hope so. Help me.

ABOUT THE LOOK: Lace on lace? I say yes. I tucked in a lace peplum shirt into my triple buttoned, high waisted shorts that I got from Plato's closet. I added this super gorgeous lace jacket that I got from Rue 21. I wasn't to sure of putting lace on lace at first, but it turned out pretty nice. I think it's the jewelry that tied it in as well. I have a cute little peter pan collar necklace from Rue 21 and my friends earring. What do you all think about lace on lace?

BEHIND THE SCENES: My friend and photographer was with me like always, but today, my other best friend joined us in our photography journey. Her name is Heather, but I call her Chug-A-Muffin. Don't ask why, just accept it. Anyway, I just can't be serious with her around. I can hardly control myself with just Andrea. You'll be able to see both of them in the next couple of weeks because I have posts to, well... post and they are in them!

Rose in a Thornbush

Ah! What an amazing mission trip I went on! I have to tell you, if you want to make the world a better place, not just one small community, volunteer at Give Kids The World. It's in Florida, so you can even hit up the beach for the day like I did. Of course, I got this rediculous sunburn that made me peel my face's skin off like one would peel an orange, but hey, I surfed. One thing I get to check off my bucket list. Anyway, it was the most amazing experiance of my life. I got to meet people from all over the world and every single one of them was happy, no matter their kids condition. It was truely magical.

DON'T FORGET TO ENTER MY GIVEAWAY!

ABOUT THE LOOK: Rose in a Thornbush. My friend actually said something like this on the shoot and I knew my post had to be titled that. The red and the flowers really popped against any background so it looked like I was that hidden rose in the thornbush. The shirt is from SUGARLIPS APPAREL. When I first got it, to be truthfull, I was kinda iffy. It was a lot of material and I'm a small girl, I was scared it was going to eat me alive. Fortunately, when I paired it with the floral skirt from RUE 21, I knew that it was me. It's such a vibrant, happy look, which is needed since the oh-so depressing school time is drawing nearer, if not already arrived.

Sorry about the size of the pictures. I can't get them to enlarge, those little boogers. I'll try to fix it when I get somewhere with a better computer and wifi.

Forgotten Photos

By the time your reading this, I'll be in Florida on my mission trip. I'm going down there for Give Kids The World, which is a part of Disney World (Or Land, whichever is in Florida) where we help the terminally ill have an amazing time at Disney World because it's there wish for the Make A Wish Foundation. We're also going to the beach for a day. I really hope I get to swim with some tropical fish or see a coral reef or be able to surf or something! I've never been to the beach so I'm hoping for a good experience. It's on my bucket list to go to Florida and visit a beach so... I hope it's worth being on my bucket list.

Anyway, I was going through some of my pictures the other day and I stumbled across these from an old shoot with Andrea. You can tell these pictures were from a while ago, my hair is still long and brown!

ABOUT THE LOOK:
What is there to say? One of the biggest trends of the moment is floral print so, even though I like to find pieces that are unique and not so trendy, I saw this dress and finally understood why the floral print fad blew up so quickly. What I like about this outfit is how it also combines the sheer part on top. Two trends in one, beautiful when separate, spectacular when together. The sheer adds a sexiness to the romantic side of the dress that the flowers bring out.

Sorry! No behind the scenes pics on this one (yet!). Not enough time for my slooooow moooo internet connection to download the rest of the pics before I leave! (Just a few hours now!) See you all in a week:p

Kiss Kiss SugarLips!

I, like many other, have fallen head over heels for Sugar Lips Apparel. Their clothing has a an effortless feel to it -- a sort of light, flowing nature to sooth any fashion soul. With all of the crazy, semi-couture clothing trends, it's nice to have such an amazing company to provide relief to everyone. This line of clothing has beautiful, stylish clothes that allow us to wear some of the more relaxed crazes, such as maxi skirts and dresses, calmed down prints, pastels and simple cutouts.

I am personally in love with them. Their clothing exudes everything that my style is, and what I want it to be. It's fun and has a quirky pop that makes me smile and want to empty my wallet for everything in the store! So, without further adue, Sugar Lips Apparel!

Sugar Lips Apparel also reminds me of my current monthly fashion inspiration (find on tab at top of the page), Florence Welch! Click on up there and see why she is such a fashion guru.

Frosted in Spring

Ah Blue. There were blue skies out, blue-purple flowers in the background, I'm wearing two shades of blue and have blue eyeliner on. Oh, and I made blue lipstick. That was fun. And I'm on my roof! It's the first time I've ever been up there in my 17 years of living and I think I picked the most stupid time to climb up there. My parents were temporarily out of time and my sister was at her soccer game, AKA, it was just me. I have a neighbor though. Maybe if he heard a giant crash followed by intense screams of pain, he might have popped by.
Nevertheless, it was a beautiful day out and I had fun. Besides the fact that I went to check on the status of my RUE 21 application and I don't really think they want to hire me because I know a worker and it has to do with "Conflict of Interest" or something. I'd love to work there though:/ Do you think I'd be a good employee at RUE 21? Tell in the comments:P
And I'll get a few more pictures of them up soon, but let's talk about my shoes for a second or three. I made them myself. Not the actual shoe, no, but I decorated them and I had an idea! What if I design a lot of them and sell them. They wouldn't be like mine since they are for my Readers Theatre Group, but what do you think? Yes? No? Si? No?

Living in a Garden

Black and White, I love the affect, but I rarely use it. I loved it in this picture though. The colors in this picture are beautifulo as well, but I, well, I love whis B&W! I just wanted to tell you all that I'll be trying to... change up the blog a little in the near future. A new look, different background, and a different way I arrange my pictures. I'm going to start carrying a camera with me as well to take pictures of amazing everyday items that are beautiful and inspire me! Hope you like it and I can't wait to show it to you all!

Please check me out and follow me on CHICTOPIA

Necklace: Rue 21, $10
I... really don't know where I got
everything else. I just dug it out of my
closet and stuck it on.

Running With Green Horses

It's Spring! Yet, oddly enough, it feels like summer. I mean, an 85 degree day makes me feel like popsicles and tanning (more like burning) at the pool, not dew drops on crisp pieces of grass and birds chirping outside my door. I like it though. Summer means more family time, mission trips, cute swim suits (and the pool!), not to mention shorts and super fun fashion!
I got this pony here on a mission trip a few years ago, my first mission trip ever actually. It chills on my bed all day and snuggles with me at night and it doesn't have a name! Give me a name for him in the comments! I'll announce the winner in another post, and guess what the winner wins? How about their name in big letters at the top of the post?! Sound good? I think it does. Get to thinking of names!
