Bricks, Splinters and Love

Sitting on red, rough bricks. Walking on splintering train tracks. Posing on hard, cold cement. It's barely hitting 40 degrees out there and she's wearing skin tight pants, a strapless shirt and a mesh jacket. Her hair is rock hair from the 20 pounds of hairspray she just put in it and her face has maybe a little too much blush on it. Lipstick is on her front tooth; she uses her ice cold finger to smudge it off though. Toes are going a little numb and she continues to do the same four poses until she throws a fit that she completely sucks at posing and needs new posing ideas. Then she trips in her wedges. Oh ya, the glamorous life of a fashion blogger. She loves it.

ABOUT THE LOOK: This is a complete party outfit. I got these pants and shoes on my fabulous trip to St. Louis. They are from this amazing store called Love Culture. I spent way to much there... Anyway, I paired the disco pants with a strapless peplum from Rue 21 and a mesh jacket from Debs. To really make this outfit party ready though, I added a piece of body jewelry from Icing. I'm really into body jewelry right now and need a few more pieces. Preferably for cheap. Any ideas where to get some? Tell me in the comments!

A Penny for Her Thoughts

Deep breath. Take it in. She can see the world without even opening her eyes. What's she thinking as she faces the wind and lets her imagination run wild through the field she's standing in? A penny for her thoughts? You can't pay a penny for her thoughts, they're much more valuable than that; they're at least a dollar.

ABOUT THE LOOK: Oh I love this skirt (Forever 21)! It's so diverse! Anyway, it's December in Missouri so I'm wearing a mesh skirt and a tucked in lace, peplum top (Plato's Closet) when I should be in the fluffiest coat I can find. This weather is insane. And I know what a few of you are thinking... A white shirt! In December! Uhm... yes. I feel like white looks its loveliest in December when the there's snow on the ground! ... Or a field of tall, dead grass.

BIG Thanks to my friend Mason for taking these pictures. That's his dog... it's name is Penny;P

Plus, like Caged In Clothes on FB because there's a big surprise coming up that will be announced on there!

Barratt Winter Wonderland II

Dresses, dresses, dresses. Isn't that all we see at Christmas parties anymore? Why blend in with the bunch of twirling Tweedle Dees when you can attract all of the attention in this super cute Peplum Mesh Romper ($48.00)? Pair it with this super sexy, stylish and studded pair of shoes from Barratts called the Truffle Spike Stud Wedge Ankle Boots (£45.00) and Barratts Satin Clutch Bag With Diamante Trim (£15.00 ). For accessories, I would pair this daring outfit with Nasty Gal's Braided Wool Hat - Wine ($38.00) and incredible Chain Reaction Handpiece ($20.00).

This is the second part of the Barratts competition! ENTER HERE

I Know the Sky

I know the sky better than anyone else. Why? My head is always in it. I can't concentrate anymore. Dreams fill my head and I must fulfill them. Chase them. Well, I try. Think of what you want then reach out and grab it. For me, what I want is just out of reach and I need someone to push it forward so I can at least touch it. Is it possible? I hope so. Help me.

ABOUT THE LOOK: Lace on lace? I say yes. I tucked in a lace peplum shirt into my triple buttoned, high waisted shorts that I got from Plato's closet. I added this super gorgeous lace jacket that I got from Rue 21. I wasn't to sure of putting lace on lace at first, but it turned out pretty nice. I think it's the jewelry that tied it in as well. I have a cute little peter pan collar necklace from Rue 21 and my friends earring. What do you all think about lace on lace?

Help me get to St. Louis to meet fashion designer Ashley Zaba by supporting my by purchasing

BEHIND THE SCENES: My friend and photographer was with me like always, but today, my other best friend joined us in our photography journey. Her name is Heather, but I call her Chug-A-Muffin. Don't ask why, just accept it. Anyway, I just can't be serious with her around. I can hardly control myself with just Andrea. You'll be able to see both of them in the next couple of weeks because I have posts to, well... post and they are in them!

Nasty Gal

Before you run from this post because of the name, let me clarify: Nasty Gal is an online boutique with some of the most distinctive wardrobe pieces, I bet even you, has ever laid eyes on. They got their name from an album that was called Nasty Gal. They used it as their inspiration for the entire boutique.

They have anything from velvet dresses to to lace skirts and cutout bodysuits. Everything about their clothing screams unique. Even their T-shirts have detailing on them that no other store would even think of! Think of walking into a room with skinny jeans and, what appears to be, a plain coral-colored t-shirt, but when you turn around, it has a scoop back starting halfway down the shirt!
