#GIRLBOSS

In honor of the newly released #GIRLBOSS, I've made a top 10 list of the women who are definitely the #GIRLBOSSES. So let's begin.

1. SOPHIA AMORUSO

Why is Sophia Amoruso a #GIRLBOSS? Do you even have to ask? She wrote the book, and I mean literally, Wrote. The. Book. This girl is the ultimate #GIRLBOSS because she set her goals and then showed her goals who's boss. Now she's the boss of a multi-million dollar business, Nasty Gal, and is inspiring girls everywhere to do what they want to do.

2. IGGY AZALEA

First things first, she's the realest. As a white girl from Australia, the rapping industry is hard to get a foot in, but Iggy Ig knows what's up. She moved to the US at 16 to pursue her dream as a rapper, even after being laughed at for her rhymes. Now, she's topping the charts every which way and being the ultimate #GIRLBOSS in this Murda Bizness.

3. MILEY CYRUS

Love her. Hate her. It doesn't matter, just admit she's a #GIRLBOSS. She was sick of having others control her life, her future, her everything. So what did she do? She showed everyone that hair doesn't make a girl and that Hannah Montana doesn't make her. She's an individual and now she's doing what she wants to do because she can. Get it Miley, just... GET IT.

4. JK ROWLING

This #GIRLBOSS took her life into her own hands and created a worldwide phenomenon while at it. Who knew a single mother living in near poverty could overcome all odds and take control. Now she has enough to live and give back to others. As a personal hero and role model for myself, Rowling shows that it's what's in your mind that can spark a revolution, not just raunchy dance moves (see above, still love you Miley!).

5. ANGELINA JOLIE

Being a #GIRLBOSS doesn't just mean having a lot of money and being famous (although Jolie doesn't fall short in either of those areas), it means being a role model, whether you want to or not. Who better as a role model than this humanitarian?

6. JENNIFER LAWERENCE

If anyone deserves to be a #GIRLBOSS, it's Jennifer Lawerence. She's a real woman. She doesn't need to be a size 2 or a perfect lady. She doesn't need to twirl her hair and giggle at guys jokes. She cusses and drinks and talks about all the food she eats and how she still wants more. Not to mention, she won the Hunger Games... or her character did... either way she had to eat a real raw fish. #BOSS

7. COCO CHANEL

Do I even have to explain why she's a #GIRLBOSS? She coined the term "Little Black Dress" and started a label who's name is recognized by nearly every person that walks this lovely earth of ours. I think that's all I'm going to say about her because just saying CHANEL is enough to explain her #GIRLBOSSness.

8. HILLARY CLINTON

Let's be honest here, the political world is a testosterone filled work place and only the toughest and keenest women can hold their own in there, and that's why Clinton definitely makes the list. She even replied to one reporter who asked which designer she was wearing by saying, "Would you ask a man that question?" Equality. She stays strong and inspires women everywhere. What a #GIRLBOSS.

9. BEYONCE

Her nickname is Queen B, of course she's a #GIRLBOSS! She constantly reminds women that it's us that rule the world and, yeah, men are cool and all, but we can definitely hold our own. Beyoncé is beautiful inside and out and she reminds us all that looks are nice, but they fade, but the knowledge we get now, we'll have forever.

10. LUPITA NYONG'O

Lastly we have this beauty! Everything about her screams #GIRLBOSS. Her first role in "12 Years a Slave" won her an Oscar. While gazing at her Oscar during her speech, she told everyone, "...may it remind me and every little child that no matter where you're from, your dreams are valid." Now she has a contract with Lancôme and an A class fashionista!

Oz Fashion: Glinda

The next witch in our lineup is Glinda the Good. Michelle Williams trades out her sassy pixie cut for flowing blond tresses in Oz as she takes on this role as the most pure and gentle witch of the bunch, although she can vamp up the intensity at parts in the movie.

Glinda's wardrobe consist of long, white dresses (minus the princess poof from the original Wizard of Oz) that are slick, shiny and full of intricate beading and other beautiful details. She wears a tiara that reminds me of angular sea shells and carries her all powerful magical wand, that shows how she is the gentle ruler of her people as well as a powerful witch.

The first dress I want to discuss is the one pictured above (close up) and below (full sha-bang). This has to be one of my favorite dresses of the movie. It Incorporates sequins, feathers and a baroque pattern on the bottom of the dress. The dress is floor length, long sleeved and features strong shoulders. Simply magnificent!

The picture below features a second dress Glinda wore. Once more, white, beading and strong shoulders dominate her wardrobe, not to say it's disappointing. This theme among her gowns shows her innocence and purity, especially with the color scheme. I have to say, I love the shoulders on each of these dresses. What part is your favorite?

Fashion Sasquatch (Post Apocalypse)

She needs sunglasses. Can someone get her some P-R-O-N-T-O, PRONTO? She's a diva, believe me (I'm her), but hey, she survived the apocalypse. She now storms through the forest, taking in the aftermath the Mayans predicted. What aftermath? Let's be realistic; if everyone thinks something is going to happen, it won't... and it didn't. So she survives another day, ready to take on the world that is still living.

ABOUT THE LOOK: A little sheer here and a few hundred studs there... yes please. It's the holiday season and what doesn't say holiday more that a mint shirt with muted gold studs strung across the collar and cuffs? Well, besides a faux crocodile clutch. I guess what I'm trying to say here is that this is an outfit that I'd most definitely wear to a Christmas Party... If only I had one to go to...

Win £100 to MaryJaneFashion

Who exactly is Mary Jane? If you look at the people in the street, she's the one walking in five inch heels. You can see her sitting in a coffee shop; square glasses and mustache shirt on. She's "that girl" at the clubs, wearing spikes and getting all the guys. Look in a mirror... she's you.

She's a punk. She's fierce. She's like a panther wrapped in leather, prodded with spikes and constantly ready to pounce. Look at her. Danger and mystery spills from every pore in her body. She's feared, yet desired.

No one has ever said, "Mary Jane who?" It's impossible to miss her. Jet black hair, blunt bang, red lips and freshly manicured claws. She's at the bar, she's dancing. She's probably following you.

She's sitting down, brushing her silky brown hair out of her face and stuffing it back into the messy topknot but stuck up on top of her head. Her pencil is slightly gnawed on since she's been chewing on it, trying to come up with a new idea for her paper. Her black, square glasses line her face and she concentrates hard on the next paragraph, not even noticing the nice guy behind the coffee counter smiling at her.

She sighs and decides her paper is good as finished and scribbles her name across the top, Mary Jane. Stuffing the paper into her quirky colored backpack, she grabs her mocha latte and throws a tip on the table. She'll be back tomorrow.

G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S. Fergie is her idol and Glamorous is her theme song. Sequins are her best friend and Ms. Mary Jane has vowed to marry the perfect jeweled clutch. She wears the perfect outfit everyday and looks spectacular in whatever it is.

Her pockets are only empty after a day long shopping trip. The clothes she buys are only made of the finest of the fine and her friends envy her extravagant wardrobe. She sparkles brighter than the sun and she will never let that change. It's what makes her... her.

As you can see, Mary Jane is everyone. She's your best friend, she's you, she's me. And, She's giving you the opportunity to win £100 to go shopping in her closet.

The online boutique Mary Jane Fashion is giving everyone of the Facebook users a chance to win £100 to their store. And trust me, that's going to go a long way. The shirts were all under £10 and the shoes pictured above were only £30! It's an amazing opportunity and there are many ways to enter. So log on into Facebook and enter HERE.

Fashion Vouchers Competition

It's another comp-comp-competition time! This time it is sponsored by Fashion Vouchers. For the competition, I had to choose one of their merchants and create a Christmas  Party outfit for £100 or under PLUS I was allowed to use any of the discounts on their site. If you'd like to participate in the competition as well, click HERE. Otherwise, keep reading to here about the outfit pieces I chose!:

You all know how I feel about dresses and Christmas parties... there's to many of them. No matter how pretty your dress is, you're still wearing one along with every other girl at the party. That's why I love that Glamorous was one of the merchants in the list to choose from! These sequin shorts would look gorgeous when paired with the simple black bodysuit with those mesh inserts. And, since it's a party, the more sequins the better right? Your wardrobe needs to sparkle as much as your personality which is why those sequins wedges and cardi is going to make you the girl that everyone wants to talk to at the party! You're not wearing a dress too, so prepare to look good, stand out and have fun! Not to mention, if you added all the prices up, it's more than £100, well, with the code GLAMOROUS20 (as found on fashionvouchers.com) you'd get 20% off the order, which is what kept me in the limit for the competition! Thanks Fashion Vouchers!

I Need YOUR Help

I am trying to do something big. I mean BIG. I got invited to St. Louis by fashion designer Ashley Zaba to check out her latest collection! This is so huge for me! I was so stoked when she asked and I really want to go, but, unfortunately, there's a dilemma... I need a smidge of extra moola to make it up there. Fortunately for me, I'm a mark. cosmetics rep so it allows me to make money whenever I feel like it... even though I have yet to sell a single thing.

Anyway, how can you help I just heard you ask?! Many ways! The most obvious would be to purchase something from my mark. eboutique. There is so much more than just cosmetics too! There are gorgeous fashion pieces, jewelry, bath and body! It's like a mini mall for girls and guess what? Reasonable prices! With the holiday season coming, why not stalk up on last minute gifts/stocking stuffers now? Plus, there is always cool deals to save you money, like the one below:

Way numero dos? Help advertise my mark. boutique! I have a 300X150 side banner that is calling your blog. It's saying "Put me on your side bar! Put me there oh please!" So be nice, say yes. The HTML for the button is: <a href="http://sbilbruck.mymarkstore.com"><img src="http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee419/shelbylugal/Mark.jpg" border="0" alt="Mark"/></a>
So just copy and paste it! That simple! Plus, anyone who puts it on their blog, has an opportunity to be featured on my new Blog Roll.
                                                                 Actual banner size!

Lastly, like my Facebook Page. Just by liking my Facebook Page, you have the opportunity to share posts with your friends who might be interested in purchasing something and that could be the difference in me going... or not. so do you really want to be responsible for me not having the opportunity to put up an amazing post about a fashion designer that I met in person? No? I didn't think so. Thanks everyone!

Lavish Alice

You all know how I like me a good store. What you don't know is how I LOVE me an amazing, stylish, trendy online boutique! I recently discovered one too! Ladies and gals, if I may present Lavish Alice. Lavish Alice has amazing, staple pieces for fall and winter and, what I like most, they're affordable! If I had a million dollars, I'd blow it all on Lavish Alice (and best of all, I'd still have 99 thousand left because they're so reasonably priced!).
I'm not even really sure how to describe their clothing it's so unique, so why not give it to you straight from their site?
And it really is. Lavish Alice carries the type of clothing you want to wear if you're the type of person who describes your style as unqie, crazy and yet has a hint of sophistication. I was going to pick out a couple of my favorite pieces of theirs, but it turned into the giant list below! Check it out and tell me what you think about Alice in the Comments!

Lavish Alice has some of the most beautiful bralletes and some of the most unique leggings I've seen in stores yet. If you haven't checked out their store yet, you better do it because you're missing out!
