Give It Up

So I gave up soda for lent and I think I'm dying. Literally, I feel my body wasting away. Well, kind of. I have more energy, my skin is better and I feel like exercising more, but I have these headaches that are killer! Anyway, one of the reasons I gave up soda for lent is that it's my first step in leading a healthier life!

I know what you're thinking because a lot of people have already approached me about it... "Shelby, you're skinny, you don't need to watch what you eat. Go eat a cheeseburger and be happy you're tiny." I can't stress this enough, Skinny and Healthy are not the same thing. Yes, I'm small, but I can't walk up a flight of stairs without heaving in exhaustion at the top, I was drinking nearly two 2-liter sodas a day and my best friend was called McDonalds. Everyone needs to live a healthy life no matter their current size and that's what I'm trying to do.

Chewbacca's Baby.

 Her name is Roxi, but let's be honest; She's not a little dog, she's a baby Chewbacca. She's a cute little 'bacca though, except for now and then (look at last picture). She loves that little fur ball, that little puffed up rat, that little doggie.

ABOUT THE LOOK: Summer is almost over, but that doesn't mean it's time for cardigans and coats just yet. I went for another soft look that wasn't too ethereal this time. I got the dress from Rue 21 and the shoes are my sister's. With an all white lace dress like this one, keep accessories to one simple color, try gold.. Plus, red lips. They'll pop against the whites and golds and, not to mention, the tan colors in your aunt's dog's fur. 

BEHIND THE SCENES: Roxi is so adorable, but she doesn't like people in her face. She gave me the stanky eye here. Not to mention, my cousin accidentally knocked out her front tooth with she was a pup so her tongue is always hanging out. Silly Chewbacca dog.
